Chael Sonnen Talks With FIGHT Magazine About New Camp, Shogun & Vitor
Chael Sonnen is always someone worth listening to, but when he’s talking about the move to his new camp, his upcoming fight with Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and his desire to take on Vitor Belfort, then you know it’s an especially important video to watch.
Sonnen recently shifted over to Mark Munoz’ Reign training camp, and will take on Shogun at UFC Fight Night 26 this August for the debut of FOX Sports 1 and the return of the UFC to Boston. Despite a currently scheduled fight, Sonnen has not been deterred from calling out Vitor Belfort for a “gentleman’s agreement” to be the top contender in the division.
While a rematch with Jon Jones, even with a win over Belfort would seem unlikely, there’s plenty of people out there that agree he got a bad shake out of the stoppage at UFC 159 when he took on the light heavyweight champion. With the change in camps and the continued desire to compete for a title, it’s clear that Sonnen is pushing for one last hurrah inside the octagon.
